GFM teams up with UDA Holdings Berhad to provide facilities management services for Bukit Bintang City Centre project

Kuala Lumpur, 27 September 2017 – Integrated facility management services provider, GFM Services Berhad (“GFM” or “The Group”) has entered into a Collaboration Agreement with UDA Holdings Berhad to provide facility management consultancy services for the Bukit Bintang City Centre Project. The scope includes structuring the facility management strategy for the development, determination of operational and life cycle cost as well as optimization of design.

Identification of the right facility management strategy shall support the business goals of the development and deliver the required level of service to the users and residents. Ruslan was born in Butterworth, Penang and is the eldest in a family of four. He learnt the important virtues of frugal living and delayed gratification from his father who sacrificed so much to provide all four children with a foreign education on his small school teacher salary.

During Ruslan’s schooling years, he developed an interest in building electrical projects and went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Plymouth Polytechnic, United Kingdom. He is now a Fellow Member of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM).

GFM Services Berhad announces 2Q 2017 financial performance

Kuala Lumpur, 25 August 2017 – Integrated facilities management service provider, GFM Services Berhad (“GFM” or “The Group”) has today announced a net profit of RM2.7 million and revenue of RM26.0 million for the second quarter ended 30 June 2017 (“2Q 2017”).

This is the second interim financial report and there are no comparative figures for the previous year’s preceding quarter (“2Q 2016”) as no interim financial report was prepared for 2Q 2016.

GFM Services proposes transfer to main market

KUALA LUMPUR Integrated facilities management services provider, GFM Services Bhd has proposed a transfer of listing from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.

In a statement today, the company said it had met all the relevant requirements for the transfer and expected to complete it in the second half of 2017.

“The transfer of listing will enhance our group’s credibility, prestige and reputation and accord us with greater recognition and acceptance among investors, especially the institutional investors.

GFM proposes dividend for FY16

PETALING JAYA: GFM Services Bhd has proposed a single-tier final dividend of 1.445 sen per share for the financial year (FY) ended Dec 31, 2016.

The integrated facilities management services provider, which was listed in January this year via a reverse takeover of AsiaEP Resources Bhd, said the proposed dividend payout would amount to RM6.2mil, representing 47% of the group’s profit after tax and minority interests (patami) of RM13mil last year.

GFM’s managing director Ruslan Nordin said the proposed payout was in line with the group’s dividend policy to distribute at least 40% of its patami.

GFM eyes acquisition of concessionaires

KUALA LUMPUR: GFM Services Bhd, which assumed the listing status of AsiaEP Resources Bhd on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on Jan 9 this year, has seen its share price nearly doubled since its listing, but it is by no means resting on its laurels.

The integrated facilities management (IFM) company has set its eyes on making an acquisition worth RM100 million within this year.

GFM, which had earlier expressed an interest in expanding through a merger or acquisition, is eyeing acquiring local concessionaires as that will enable it to gain direct access to public-private partnerships (PPPs) from the government.

GFM eyes expansion through M&A, JV

KUALA LUMPUR: Integrated facilities management (IFM) company GFM Services Bhd, which assumed the listing status of AsiaEP Resources Bhd yesterday, is looking to expand via mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures (JV) and collaborations.

“We are excited about the future prospects of the industry and aim to expand into new revenue streams by entering into strategic M&As, JVs and collaborations,” its managing director Ruslan Nordin told reporters yesterday.

He said there are several M&A proposals in hand, and is confident of concluding one deal by year-end. He declined to reveal the number of proposals or which parties they are in talks with, saying only that they will focus on the local and regional markets.

GFM Services makes firm debut on ACE Market at 46 sen

KUALA LUMPUR: GFM Services Bhd made a firm debut on the Ace Market of Bursa Malaysia on Monday, opening at 46 sen, which was eight sen above its offer price of 38 sen,

At 9.01am, it was trading at 48 sen, up 10 sen. It was actively traded with 10.32 million shares done.

GFM debuts at Bursa with 28% premium after assuming asiaEP listing

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 9): GFM Services Bhd rose as much as 10.5 sen or 28% during its Bursa Malaysia ACE Market debut today after assuming the listing status of asiaEP Resources Bhd. GFM is a facility-management specialist.

Electronic-business specialist asiaEP was previously marked as a Guidance Note 3 (GN3) company. Last Friday, Bursa Malaysia said it would remove asiaEP from the GN3 list today following completion of its regularisation exercise.

Today, GFM shares, which were listed at 38 sen, rose to their highest so far at 48.5 sen. At 10:09am, the stock was traded at 45 sen with some 36 million shares traded.

GFM, the second most-active stock on Bursa Malaysia, was also the seventh-largest gainer. At 38 sen, GFM has a market value of RM162.68 million based on its issued base of 428.1 million shares.

GFM Services gets RM22m contract from Matrade

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): Bursa Malaysia's ACE-Market-bound GFM Services Bhd has bagged a five-year contract worth RM22.8 million to manage and maintain Manara Matrade's facilities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, GFM said its wholly-owned subsidiary Global Facilities Management Sdn Bhd was awarded a letter of acceptance in respect of the said contract on Dec 16 last year.

The award, it added, is subject to a final contract entered into between Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) and GFM, as well as the fulfilment of "other relevant conditions".

GFM set to list on Bursa after a long-delayed reverse takeover
